Yes when I host certain events I donate to the Ronald Mcdonald House in Houston. My son was born very ill and we had to move there temporarily while he stayed at Texas Childrens Hospital. We do! This is a huge part of the soul of our business, most of the charities that we support are small, in need and near and dear to our hearts. I’m not your typical entrepreneur. I’m actually very risk averse. In fact, I will feel paralyzed in making a decision if I don’t feel I have the information that I need to figure out the best path forward. When I do take risks, they’re always calculated. I think what has helped me to overcome some of that fear of risk is my innate creativity and problem-solving abilities, having the perspective of mentors who fall on various points of the risk-comfort continuum, and ultimately just knowing myself and what I’m up for.
