We’ve been blown away by the examples of generosity and kindness that are at the heart of so many brands in the community. We asked some of the most giving entrepreneurs and leaders we know to tell us about how they think about the practice of donating a percentage of sales.

Since the day I started my business, I have donated 10% of my sales to causes and organizations that i trust. Currently, I am honored to partner with The Alpha Project in San Diego. They are dedicated to providing bridge shelter, resources, rehabilitation and permanent housing placement for our homeless community in San Diego. Since the Hawai’i wildfire disaster on Maui, I’ve been making all photo sessions booked during the month of August as donation-based with all money going towards wildfire relief and support of those effected. The wildfires hit very close to home, as I lived Big Island Hawai’i and can see the island of Maui just across the water. Since spending significant time on the islands last summer, I’d been feeling a magnetic, almost spiritual pull to be back. Read more>>
