When I started Hogan Made, I came from working in the non-profit sector, and saw the challenges from a mid sized to very large sized non-profits faced. I worked directly with our clients and know that even the smallest donations helped from time to time. I vowed that I would give back to my community in a way that would work for my business. We do our best to stay as authentic to the Shave Ice experience you’d get if you got it in Hawaii – from the machines, flavors, and style of preparation. We love Hawaiian Shave Ice, and want to make sure that we are sending that love back to the source, which is why all of our flavors, machines, and cups come from a Hawaii-based seller that started as a family business 35 years ago. Even before the business started, we were involved in the animal rescue community. Our pets are all rescues and it is a cause near and dear to our hearts. It was a natural fit to give back 10 percent of all sales to local animal organizations. Every two months we work with a different local animal organization or rescue and donate sales from those two months back to these hardworking organizations.
