When I starting working on the plan for my vintage business, Pachi Collective, I knew I wanted to give back to a local cause. I didn’t have to look too far since I had been following the efforts of the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary for some time. After visiting and adopting a kitten from them, I knew that I’d love to donate a portion of my proceeds to the sanctuary. From the very beginning of starting my business, I knew God had called me to serve others through my photography. I feel that it’s important to give back in different ways. One of the ways I serve my community through the business and sales that my clients give me is by donating a portion of my sales to companies that I personally love standing behind. Sugar Plug donates a percentage of our sales to teaching elementary and middle schoolers baking and pastry. We teach them the fundamentals of business such as team work, leadership, financial literacy, reading, writing, and mathematics. Through the support of our customers we are able to donate time and resources to helping children expand their horizons on career opportunities as well as enhancing essential skills like cooking and baking for themselves.
