As a business owner it’s easy to feel like your work is never done – because no matter how much you do, there is always more that could theoretically be done. So, we wanted to hear from a broad range of business owners on whether they take vacations and we’ve shared some of their responses below.

The ability to take vacations whenever and wherever I want is a major factor in how I structure my business. My need to travel? My work must be fully remote. My need to travel to different time zones? My work requires fewer client meetings. And sometimes, I need my business to run while I am off the clock completely. Read more>>

Over the last few years, I’ve learned to set aside time from my business to prioritize my marriage and allow myself to get away and recharge. Running my business on the daily is what I love to do and I feel fortunate to have a career that I enjoy. I wake up each morning eager to create and press forward in growing my jewelry business, but I have found that when I set aside a few days to relax, I come back with a fresh perspective. REST & RELAXATION IS ESSENTIAL! I take vacations on a regular basis and recently took a well-deserved vacation to the Bahamas. My days and nights were filled with rest, relaxation, and a lot of beach time. People who take vacations have lower stress, less risk of heart disease, a better outlook on life, and more motivation to achieve goals. Remember that life is a gift. You’re not meant to just work for the rest of your life. Read more>>

Do I take vacations? That is not even a question. All the time. I’m a Flight Attendant so I travel for work but on my off days, you can catch me on a flight as well. I love any place with a beautiful beach and great restaurants. I love exploring new states and countries. It’s nice to step away from work and relax in a new environment. I recommend all entrepreneurs to take vacations. Doesn’t matter if it’s just a overnight road trip or 3 nights in Cancun, just go somewhere. Read more>>
