As a business owner it’s easy to feel like your work is never done – because no matter how much you do, there is always more that could theoretically be done. Many business owners we’ve spoken with also feel that they have a responsibility to be available to their team and that if they step away they are putting an undue burden on their team. So, we wanted to hear from a broad range of business owners on whether they take vacations and we’ve shared some of their responses below.

Yes, yes, and a million times, yes haha. Taking vacations as a small business owner can be hard, but is very much so needed. For me, being a small business owner means being the social media manager, the customer service representative, creating all of the products, and filming/editing new content for the social medias. It’s a 24/7 job that requires a lot of dedication, love and work. This is also on top of my 9-5. All fo this can be extremely overwhelming which is why I always plan a nice vacation for myself. Oh yes. I didn’t in the beginning of my career but traveling & hair actually goes hand in hand for me. It’s how I can escape from reality for a weekend or for a week & refresh my creativity. Taking vacations is all part of the work. Our podcast is centered around Themed Entertainment, so we would have to be up to date on that. Same goes for my content creation which is about Disney.
