Today we’d like to introduce you to Warith Jumuah
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
True educator. Derived from a family of educators who believe in setting examples for the next generation. Internally, I believe being an educator has always been innate. Helping and encouraging people always felt like a great need for me.
I’ve always worked in the education field. I started off as a counselor at Quest Summer Camp in Newark,NJ at the age of 17, working with kids, ages 8-14. After graduating from Morgan State University, I began to work as a Mentor/ Youth Development Specialist. As I continued to transition in the education field, I developed the mindset to operate in a fashion where I’m able to motivate people to become the best version of themselves. With inspiration to push pass various obstacles faced…..the Passionate Rebel Foundation was born!
I got where I am today just based off strong internal drive and faith. I created a goal and stuck to it. As a Passionate Rebel, I allowed my “Passion To Stimulate My Hustle!”
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a calm journey thus far. We recently reached our 10 year mark. 10 years established….wow! The Passionate rebel journey has been pretty remarkable with refreshing bumps and struggles here and there. I call them refreshing because they fueled me to keep going by staying the course. The struggle of not knowing if you’ll get outcomes you’re pushing for, or the door you’re looking to walk through will be closed on you. Uncertainty is the worst feeling to have as an entrepreneur; however, uncertainties help you remember “why you started.” For me, I stayed focused on the elevation. As time passed, I found ways to stay connected to areas I was looking to create positive impact in.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a creative, educator, and community leader, I created the Passionate Rebel Foundation as a means of being a symbol of hope and growth for society. We use fashion as a vehicle to connect with various community members, as well as educational/community initiatives to generate growing opportunities for aspiring leaders and creatives.
We specialize in clothing design. Our apparel line expands along the lines of sweaters, cargo pants, puffer coats, varsity jackets, hoodies, caps, ponchos, fanny packs, book bags, etc. We’ve been blessed with creative inspirations that allows us to tap into those areas of clothing.
Aside from being known for our Passionate Rebel apparel, I’ve been recognized as the Passionate Rebel speaker. To continue reaching various audiences, I’ve been blessed to be requested by organizations to speak at community functions and events about the ” importance of being a Passionate Rebel.”
I’m very proud of our consistency and the longevity we’ve been able to reach on this journey.
I believe what makes our brand different is our messages “Rebel Against Not Following Your Passion” and “Your Passion Stimulates Your Hustle.” By helping people embrace our mantras, we’re able to aid in helping people better themselves both internally and externally.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being in a peaceful state… Just having peace in various parts of my life by remaining goal-oriented both personally and professionally. Looking forward to raising my son and providing a foundation for him Inshallah (God willing). I love creating opportunities for others, and being an example for aspiring leasers/community members.
The world can be a tough place sometimes. It takes a lot of energy to do things that makes you happy. These reasons are important to me because they continuously reinvigorate my spirit. Knowing that I am helping to create the path for the younger generation that’s following in our footsteps is very refreshing. Being a dad just makes me smile! He’s my reason to keep being the best version of myself and building up a stronger foundation!
