Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

During the challenging times of COVID-19, I launched Exquisite Slay after an emotional conversation with my mother about how finding a job was hard. My mother reminded me how I’ve always wanted to have my own business and how this is the perfect time. After picking myself up and drying my tears, I realized she was right and I immediately got to work. Encouraged to channel my creativity and resilience, I embarked on a journey to create a brand that celebrates women’s beauty, individuality, and strength.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

My business will be four years old in June and it has not been a smooth road. I’ve faced multiple challenges from not being motivated, to feeling overwhelmed, to wanting to give up, and even personal life situations that got in the way.

At Exquisite Slay, we firmly believe that every woman deserves to feel exquisite, unique, and truly special. Our clothing collection goes beyond mere aesthetics; each garment is meticulously designed with empowering phrases and messages that serve as reminders of the wearer’s beauty and individuality. We want every woman to embrace her unique journey and radiate confidence with every step she takes.

What does success mean to you?

To me success isn’t a one size fits all kind of word. I believe success can mean something different based on one’s point of view.
