Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Leininger
Hi Stephanie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My grandparents had a vegetable and flower garden in their backyard in Minnesota. I never really thought much of it other than it was pretty cool and I could eat sugar peas right out of the garden. I started working with flowers during high school. Now that I think back, every job I had included flowers in some aspect.
I got to where I am today with a lot of experiences, trial and error and moving towards what felt right to be doing every day.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There were many cross sections in the road, do I go left or right? The struggles I had most was do I do what has always been done or do I follow my intuition and try something that is not expected from me. The biggest struggles were when I was second guessing myself or feeling like others knew better.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
For my business I am a floral artist specializing in growing flowers and sourcing from local flower farms for my wedding and event designs. I’m known for my passion of floristry and learning to work best with sustainable practices. I’m proud that each day I am learning something new about the environment, business, life and of course flowers to create the most intentional designs for my clients.
What sets me apart is my community around the world that I work with to create new designs and artistic styles. I look each project as a way to work in a better way that is true to my clients. It’s not only the flowers that are important, but what brings out my clients within their floral designs for their guests.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Trust and listen to my instincts. Take what I have learned from the best mentors and put my own twist on it that reflects all of my experiences to that piece.
