Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Bost Fisher.
Hi Sara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always been creative and I have always been entrepreneurial. But I didn’t start painting until I was nine months pregnant and it was a really hot Oklahoma summer and I was looking for an indoor activity to keep me busy.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Struggles I would say have been things I have set my sights on that didn’t pan out the way I had hoped. But, in the end, I do know everything works out the way it is supposed to. But sometimes in the moment the rejection or missed opportunity is hard to stomach.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I paint on all different surfaces. Walls, canvas, wig stands, ornaments, nutcrackers, fabric and chocolate are all surfaces you can find my work on.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is me feeling proud of what I am putting out in the world and something that is mine.
