Hi Sam, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In the middle of the pandemic, I co-founded Elevation Nation. Our mission is to help young adults around the world elevate their mindsets and conquer the real world. Through our community, we unite the next generation of students, CEOs, professional athletes, musicians, high-achieving young professionals, and more, all with one shared goal: elevate your mindset and conquer the real world.
This started out of necessity, we were lost young adults looking for guidance and realized our own mindsets needed some serious work. Fast forward to now, we speak around the country to young people, sharing our lessons we’ve learned from experts in the field so that they too can elevate their mindsets.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Throughout the entrepreneurial experience, we continue to face struggles. Whether it was the struggle of establishing a true business, to our lack of a real strategy to monetize, the struggles were endless. Some days, we have no idea if we are headed in the right direction. Specifically, with a lack of initial traction and interest in our work, we wanted to quit. However, through consistency and faith that things would improve, we have brought Elevation Nation to where it is today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Elevation Nation is invited to speak around the country to high school, college students and young adults to help them elevate their mindsets. As young adults ourselves, we know exactly what struggles people are facing as they start their journeys in the real world. We use our trademarked framework, Mental Fortitude, to break down the elevator mindset and help people get introspective to create their own Mental Mottos as they conquer the real world. I’m extremely proud of our mission to help one million people craft their own Mental Mottos.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
As the next generation of students graduate and enter the workforce, there is a lack of emotional intelligence unlike anything we have ever seen before due to COVID, social media and a lack of empathy. More companies are going to need to train EQ and help their hires develop the needed interpersonal skills to be successful in the real world.
