Hi Rodolfo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I began my journey in Monterrey, Mexico, where I earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Tecnológico de Monterrey. My passion for technology and innovation led me to pursue a Master’s in Management of Technology at New York University – Tandon School of Engineering. During my studies, I realized the potential of technology to revolutionize traditional industries, which ignited my entrepreneurial spirit.
After moving to New York, I co-founded Replay Listings, a platform designed to bring transparency to the real estate market through unedited video content. The idea was born out of frustration with the lack of authenticity in real estate listings, which often left renters and buyers feeling misled. Replay Listings aimed to solve this by providing honest, unaltered video tours of properties, giving people a clearer and more trustworthy view of their potential homes.
Over the years, our platform has grown significantly, gaining recognition for its innovative approach. My commitment to transparency and leveraging technology to solve real-world problems has been a driving force behind our success. Today, Replay Listings is not just a real estate platform but a movement towards honesty and integrity in the industry. As a Forbes 30-under-30 nominee and a regular contributor to Forbes and Entrepreneur Magazine, I continue to share my insights on technology, entrepreneurship, and real estate, hoping to inspire others on their own journeys.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to success has certainly not been smooth. Like many entrepreneurs, I faced numerous challenges and obstacles along the way. One of the primary struggles was the initial skepticism from both investors and consumers. Convincing people that unedited video content could significantly enhance transparency in the real estate market required a lot of perseverance and proof of concept.
Another major hurdle was navigating the complexities of the real estate industry in New York City, one of the most competitive markets in the world. Establishing Replay Listings meant going up against well-established players and entrenched practices. We had to constantly innovate and prove the value of our approach to gain traction and trust.
Additionally, balancing the financial aspects of running a startup while ensuring we stayed true to our mission was challenging. There were times when resources were stretched thin, and difficult decisions had to be made. However, these struggles taught me resilience and the importance of adaptability. Each setback was an opportunity to learn and grow, ultimately shaping the success and direction of Replay Listings.

Early on, I encountered skepticism and numerous hurdles that tested my commitment to our mission. However, each obstacle presented an opportunity to learn and grow.
Resilience alone is not enough; adaptability is equally essential. The real estate market, especially in a dynamic city like New York, is constantly evolving. Staying ahead requires a willingness to pivot and adapt to new circumstances. Whether it’s embracing new technologies, refining our business model, or responding to feedback, being adaptable has allowed us to stay relevant and innovative.
This combination of resilience and adaptability has not only helped Replay Listings thrive but also shaped me into a more effective leader. It has taught me to view challenges as opportunities and to remain open to change and continuous improvement. These lessons have been invaluable in driving our success and will continue to guide us as we navigate the future.
