Hi Queen, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well music has always been apart of my life starting with my parents. As a kid, I was in chorus and orchestra in school. My sisters and I also had a group when we were younger. My dad was our manager. Of course I left the group. I felt like my sisters weren’t taking it as seriously as me. Fast forward years later and I’m the only one pursuing it so I think it’s safe to say I made the right decision.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
NONE OF THIS WAS EASY!!!!!! I just want to make that clear. Don’t let the smile and positive energy fool you. Don’t get me wrong. Im alive and God is good but I’ve gone through ALOT of trials and tribulations. But the difference is how Ive over come them. I never stopped. I never gave up. 10 toes, don’t fold. That’s the motto. That’s the code.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I started my Youtube Channel when I was in college. Now it’s literally a mini documentary of my life. From the beginning of my journey to where I am right now.
I also have an alcoholic popsicle company. I was going to work with a company based out of Philly that was doing the same thing. I tried the product and didn’t like it. I felt like I could do it better so I did. Now presenting Tipsy Queens NYC.
I just started streaming on Twitch as well so there’s a lot going on over here.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love that there is something for everyone. It is literally the city that never sleeps. There’s always something to do at all hours of the day. So you will never be bored trust me.
I don’t like the gatekeeping or the stigma that “im better than you.” It’s honestly getting old. We should all want to help each other because we see how hard it is out here. Why not lend a hand to someone coming up???
