Today we’d like to introduce you to Midwestmyles
Hi Midwestmyles , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a Hip Hop producer. I love crafting beats. I got heavy into music around 11 or 12 years old. This was late 90s, early 2000s and I fell in love with the sound of Hip Hop
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not always smooth. It’s more so about being heard. You can have the dopest beats/music but if you can’t find a way to get your name buzzing it doesn’t matter how dope the music is. You gotta build a following first being an indie artist or producer and I’ve been able to grow pretty decently over the years
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I make rap beats but I delve into R&B too. A lot of my beats have a bit of a different sound to them, or at least that’s what I’m told . But it’s good to be different but also familiar if that makes sense. Some people may get what that means and some may not.
What does success mean to you?
Success is a hard thing to come by in the music industry for a lot of people. If I had to define it, it would be simple. Just living comfortably. It isn’t fame for me. It’s comfort.
