Hi Mariah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In October of 2017 I was terminated from My stock associate position for Walmart.
At the time I was burnt out & filled with resentment that I didn’t pursue a job that aligned with my interest & skill sets.
Amongst my trials I started remembering roughly 2 years prior my Aunt admired my makeup application skills. She stated that the blending techniques & precision was very intriguing. Furthermore, she insisted that I should consider attending makeup cool.
At the time I declined with hopes of attending college for computer science. Gracefully I revisited that subject on my own.
Thankfully I chose to change my stance on practicing my makeup skills because it lead me to gain a small clientele & attraction through my social media platforms.
5 1/2 years later in April of 2023 I decided to attend Beauty School to obtain my certification & licensing as an Esthetician. With venturing in the Esthetician field I am able to be multifaceted with my career. I can service makeup based & skincare based clientele.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It honestly hasn’t been a smooth course, I’ve faced a lot of challenges with my income & gaining clientele.
In the beauty industry there are a plethora of specialists that specialize in the same field. This can make it even more challenging to stand out from the other specialist.

I am a Licensed Esthetician & Professional Makeup Artist.
I am known for my vibrant & creative makeup styles.
I am most proud of my social media presence & influence
Lastly, when it comes to being set apart from other I am a charismatic person who promotes individuality in the beauty industry.
What matters most to you?
God is what matters to me. My faith in God has brought me through many storms in my life from not having an income, being in foster care, attending school, & much more.
