Today we’d like to introduce you to Khaos Kyle
Hi Khaos, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into music began in 2021, during a challenging period in my life. One day, I vividly remembered an old piece of paper from my therapist, listing hobbies to help me express my emotions in a healthier way. Strangely, the only legible suggestion in my mind was “write a song”; the rest was blurred. Intrigued, I spent the next hour and a half pouring my heart into writing a song.
From that moment, I was hooked. I immediately invested in home recording equipment, dove into GarageBand, and devoured countless YouTube tutorials. Music quickly consumed all my free time, so much so that I haven’t touched a video game in ages.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I first started, I had no idea what I was doing. There are videos out there of me being completely off beat. Learning to count the beats took countless hours of practice. I faced losses on a review show called the Crockpot Cartel and endured venomous hate in the comments section. Yet, I never let it discourage me. Instead, it fueled my determination to keep practicing and creating until one day, it just clicked.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
For most of my music, the process always begins the same way: I start by mixing together various sound loops until I create a complete beat. Many people have told me that the beats I create are the strongest part of my music. Once the beat is ready, I move on to the writing process, which usually starts with crafting the hook and then developing the verses. One of the songs I’m most proud of is the one I wrote for my daughter, “Daddy Loves You,” which has garnered over 20k plays in less than two years.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I believe the future of the music industry for artists will heavily rely on building a strong brand and delivering live shows. AI is poised to complicate things and could potentially harm artists in various ways. While I’m uncertain about how it will all unfold, I am confident that live shows will remain a staple. People crave the personal connections that only live performances can offer, and that’s something AI can never replace.
