Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Mifflin
Hi Jessica, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a single mother of three—my 21-year-old son serving in the Air Force, my 17-year-old son, and my 8-year-old daughter—I’ve always been driven by one unwavering mission: to provide my children with everything they need and most of what they want.
My career in the entertainment industry began unexpectedly when I first started as a personal assistant to an upcoming actor. A pivotal moment came when I facilitated an interview with him and TheBlkScript, which opened doors I never imagined possible. Shortly after, I became a personal assistant to Kevin Marable, the creator and founder of TheBlkScript, quickly evolving into a PR and talent scout.
In just eight months, I’ve facilitated more than 21 interviews with actors from various genres and regions across the country. I have always been a personable go getter, now I’ve built connections that seemed impossible before. Throughout every challenge and success, I give credit to God, holding close to my favorite scripture, Matthew 19:26: “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’.”
My journey proves that with determination, faith, and love for your children, no dream is out of reach.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Without a college degree, I’ve worked tirelessly, juggling multiple jobs to ensure my children never went without. Each day was a testament to a mother’s determination—rising early, working late, and finding creative ways to make ends meet. The financial struggles and professional challenges could have been overwhelming, but my love for my children and my faith kept me moving forward. I am currently taking a real estate course and I plan to be a realtor as well as a PR for TheBlkScript as well as maybe actively take on more PR clients through TheBlkScript.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am also an Admin for an amazing Real Estate Brokerage and I have the most amazing coworkers. It’s like I have 2 dream jobs! Working as a PR for TheBlkScript has been an amazing journey thus far, and we have reached over 100k followers. The relationships I have developed professionally have been invaluable. The dynamic and supportive environment of my real estate team, combined with the exciting and creative work at TheBlkScript, creates a sense of fulfillment and excitement in my professional life. Working alongside talented and passionate colleagues in both roles makes each workday both challenging and rewarding, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such exceptional teams.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Unfortunately, I do not believe in Luck. I believe in God, and God has been so good to me. Everything I prayed for, this year I have received. Although my journey has not been easy, he’s had his hand on me the entire time and will continue to take care of my family and I.
