Hi Dr. Maurya, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

My story is ever-evolving. Reflecting on my journey, I realize I discover new facets of my “story” every day. I started with a solid foundation rooted in faith, family, and friendship. Being surrounded by hardworking intrapreneurs, side hustlers, and entrepreneurs helped me develop a strong work ethic.

This environment instilled values and resilience that have guided me through various phases of life. Over the years, I’ve added spirituality, contentment, balance, learning, and creativity to my core values. Embracing my multipotentiality sparked my entrepreneurial curiosity and fueled my creative pursuits.

Each step, from my early explorations to my current ventures, has been a blend of passion, persistence, and community support. These values have grounded me through life’s ups and downs, driving my growth and achievements.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Not at all. Honestly, I hope to write a book soon about how many times I’ve “failed” as an entrepreneur. I’ve learned countless business lessons the hard way, from intellectual property disasters and navigating conflicts of interest to the pitfalls of not having NDAs. Early on, I wished for an easier, smoother path, but I’ve come to value the road less traveled. It’s often in those uncharted territories where true growth happens. Many times, you have to build as you go because no one has paved the way for you. Despite the struggles, I try my best to turn every loss into a lesson and every setback into an opportunity for growth. It’s through these experiences that I’ve developed resilience and a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial journey.

It’s always intriguing to reflect on how my journey weaves together various passions and experiences. As a multipotentialite, my work spans different fields, each adding depth to my story. Through Leaves Speak Healthcare, I engage in compassionate work as an elder and death doula, focusing on holistic care and communication. On the other hand, I’m recognized for founding Side Hustle Honors, a platform that celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit and the art of balancing multiple ventures.

I also maintain a boutique consulting practice, YKNOT Consulting, where I offer coaching and project management education. Under the moniker SDoH Solutionary, my career path has been shaped by both fortunate and challenging life events, fueling my commitment to creating meaningful change. What distinguishes me is the ability to integrate diverse perspectives into ethical and innovative solutions, driving social impact across the various fields I touch.
