Hi Brittany K., we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?

I’m a Jersey girl born to create. Growing up surrounded by hairstylists, seamstresses, and fashionistas, I naturally picked up hair styling, doing braids for classmates by middle school and running a small hair business in high school. Around the same time, I stumbled into modeling, drawn in by school fashion shows and connections with industry pros.

Navigating the modeling world for over a decade taught me a lot—about business, resilience, and adapting to challenges. I launched **GlamConn**, a mobile beauty brand, after realizing clients valued convenience. Later, seeing small brands struggle with structure and marketing, I founded **Brittany K. Collective** to help them grow.

My journey has had highs and lows, but what I’m most proud of is my growth. I’m still evolving, but I’m determined to make the road smoother for other models, creatives, and entrepreneurs.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.

Some of my biggest challenges were **lack of knowledge, support, finances, and battling impostor syndrome**. In the beginning, I simply didn’t know what steps to take. Without a strong network, I felt stuck. Eventually, I found a mentor in a friend who taught me how to learn—how to constantly improve, adapt, and build connections. That realization helped me move forward, but progress was slow. Impostor syndrome made me second-guess myself, even as I gained experience. Over time, I pushed through by staying committed to growth, learning, and trusting my journey.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I wear many hats—**model, content creator, and entrepreneur**—but at the heart of it all, I’m a creative storyteller who brings visions to life.

**Brittany K Collective LLC** is a **digital marketing firm** specializing in **social media strategy and fashion/model industry event production**—including castings, fashion shows, photoshoots, and content shoots. It also encompasses **Glamour Connoisseur (GlamConn)**—a mobile beauty concierge offering sew-ins, custom wig units, and premium strip lashes. Through Brittany K Collective, I help brands and creatives refine their digital presence, execute standout campaigns, and produce high-quality industry events.

As a **curve model and influencer**, I’ve been in the industry since 2009, working with 20+ brands to bring authenticity, style, and confidence to their campaigns. Right now, I’m best known for **modeling and content creation**, but what I’m most proud of is my **growth** as an entrepreneur. My determination to keep going—no matter the challenges—has opened so many doors, and I’m just getting started.

At the end of the day, passion fuels all creatives, but what truly sets us apart is **how we channel that passion into something unique**. For me, it’s about merging **beauty, business, and storytelling** to **empower others to show up as their best selves**—whether that’s through a flawless install, a powerful campaign, or inspiring someone to chase their dreams.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?

My biggest piece of advice? **Become a student of your craft.** If you don’t know where to start, start by researching. Google and ChatGPT are your best friends! Want to be a model? Search “model terminology.” Interested in ballet? Look up “ballet fundamentals.” The key is to **educate yourself and take action.**

Looking back, I wish I had started **networking sooner** and built a strong **support system** of like-minded, driven people. Surrounding yourself with the right people can open doors you didn’t even know existed. I also wish I had learned how to properly **set up and structure my business** from the start. Understanding business fundamentals earlier would have helped me **secure funding** and grow much faster.
