Today we’d like to introduce you to Brad Gilmore
Hi Brad, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Brad Gilmore from the great city and state of Houston Texas. I am an entertainer, broadcaster, writer, musician. Started my entertainment career with my band, Twenty Eleven and have my talents to CW39 as the entertainment reporter, and currently signed with ESPN Ring radio show with the WWE Hall of Fame, Booker T
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’m gonna turn optimist, so I characterize everything as a smooth road and I’ve always known that the challenges that have come up, are just stepping stones to get me to where I needed to be.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do consider myself an artist in a certain fashion. I think at times that that term artist can be presumptuous, and make it sound like I’m a bit full of myself, but if I had a really break it down as to what I am and what I do that is a great descriptor. I’m somebody who had no discernible talents up in school, I played baseball baseball was just OK at it, I didn’t have much of any extracurricular activities and then I met four gentlemen who change the course on my life. Avery Davis, Will Yancy, Dallas Jones and Tyler Tran Together, we form the band known as Twenty Eleven and put out four albums together, including a reunion album last year called happiness, sadness, etc., and when I got together with those guys, I untapped this creative potential I didn’t know that I had and they brought it out of me. And it is what led me to having several podcasts that have been successful, interviewing some of the biggest names in entertainment on my show the collection, working with Booker T at Reality of Wrestling. It all started with Twenty Eleven. And now I’m working on writing short stories, screenplays, writing a wrestling show, having my own media company. It’s crazy what a little shove can do!
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
To me the only advice I could really give is persistence pays. Don’t stop trying, don’t stop doing. Let your interests be your creative Northstar and point you in the direction you need to be don’t listen that way anybody else, you know what you like you know what interest you, so go after and swing for the fences
