Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Simmons
Hi Angela, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Angela Simmons, designer, wife, mom of 11, entrepreneur, podcaster and author of the memoir “Eleven from Heaven- through the gates of Motherhood “. I’ve always loved the humor and lessons learned through family and sharing them with fellow moms. My love of writing started in college with a passion for journalism. Everyone has a story that can make a difference and captivate reality. Motherhood is the hardest job on earth! Birthing and cultivating little people is challenging. I’ve lived and learned so much about faith and love through the 11, which prompted me to start my podcast ( 11 from Heaven life podcast) with me Angie B. I want all moms to know that you can live your dreams. Although the timing of entrepreneurship felt delayed while we raised our family, it came back around full circle and I jumped. My desire is that you know how important you are and you’re not alone. The many stories that I share on the podcast are my truths, designed to create life , love, laughter, happiness and a few miracles.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of my struggles along the way was self publishing and building my brand. I had to figure out who I am and how I want to represent me.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Aside from being an author, i am the proud founder of “ Angie’s Home Sweet Wreaths and Design. I specialize in floral and interior staging design. I’m most proud of continuous building. I design comfy and cozy spaces. What sets me apart is my sense of style. My designs caught the attention of “Daytime Chicago” WGN. I was asked to create Holiday arrangements on the show! What an awesome opportunity that was.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Covid was a devastating period, for sure. With the detrimental loss of loved ones, it’s helped me to love deeper and stronger. Life is definitely uncertain, so never procrastinate and compare, use you gifts to make a difference.
