My first kick in my mum’s belly was quite special story. My mum is a Piano Professor in China. When she was judging a final jury she heard a loud sound, she was so confused and she looked around and then she realised it was me kicking her, in rhythm even, that was my first kick, the student was performing Chopin’s revolutionary etude. When I launched my first fashion-tech startup (Fashion Forward) I bought the .ca domains belonging to my competitors in the US to prevent them from expanding into the Canadian market. A few years after I abandoned my startup (due to lack of funding) I was contacted by a domain broker and someone wanted to buy one of the domains. I immediately gave them a price that I was willing to sell it for and they accepted. My competitor was Poshmark, they bought the www.poshmark.ca domain from me. I made a crazy profit but after realizing their company grew to a $7 billionvaluation I should have added an extra zero! Read more>>

Being an independent artist & operating a small business is crazy exhausting. I definitely enjoy doing both. One is definitely guaranteed money coming in but the other unfortunately cost to be the boss!! I often find myself putting my singing journey as a independent artist to the side. My business as a residential owner & care taker take a lot of my time. While I appreciate the fruits of my labor, the job is demanding. Juggling both is not balanced and I love both. Read more>>

One of the defining moments, for me starting my business was how i met some of my first clients while working in the media field. Let’s just say i have had the privilege to work for some well known companies. And while working for these companies i had the opportunity to meet some great people, who became my first clients. In the past i have held the position of Audio Producer for several different radio stations. Two radio stations in particular, i served in that role for 2+ years. As producer my responsibility would be to assist radio hosts with their show. Such as helping them book guests, prepare audio for their program, and edit audio. While working at these stations i felt that i had enough experience to create my own radio platform. It takes confidence to make such a bold decision, but I felt that God willed me to do so. As I prepared to leave the entertainment industry as an employee, and set out to create my own radio station and media business, something happened.! I let all of the clients that i produced for know that i would be leaving, and what i would be doing. To my surprise these clients where interested in joining me on this journey. Two of the clients that i produced shows, on mainstream radio decided to leave those stations and become my clients. Very rare does this happen, considering the circumstances, but i attribute their decision on our business relationship. Another one of my clients sought my guidance in helping them create their own radio platform, which is still successfully operating today. Those other two clients who joined me are still my clients today 3 yrs later. This was a very pivotal moment in my career, because i was given the ultimate confidence, and reassurance that i’m doing what God called me to do. Read more>>
