Today we’d like to introduce you to Suani Meneghetti.

Hi Suani, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I’m Suani Meneghetti, a jewelry designer, and I’m very happy to be able to share a little bit of my story with you.
I’m from a small town in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, which is in the South of Brazil. My story begins when I was very little. I started playing at home with my mother’s necklaces. I would just touch and feel the stones, pearls, and chains with my hands. I didn’t even know it, but I was fascinated by all those materials. I really liked fashion and architecture magazines. A little older, around 9 years old, I started making beaded necklaces, bracelets, and earrings in my garage with my friends from the neighborhood. We set up a small business in our backyard, with the creation, assembly, and sales departments. We would assemble and create the pieces and then we would go out and sell them to our neighbors. It was a lot of fun!
When I was a teenager, I was drawn to fashion, clothes and style. It was when I started to choose how I dressed and discover my own style. And of course, it was when I discovered music in my life. I spent the day getting to know and enjoying rock bands. What an incredible phase of many discoveries!
After high school, I went to college. I thought I wanted to study architecture, but I ended up getting into another university in my city to study industrial design. The course had many subjects that I could use for architecture later, so I started studying industrial design at college. In this course, I had the option of specializing in furniture or jewelry. I thought I wanted furniture, but I took a trial jewelry class and fell in love! There was no turning back. I was enchanted and this was my path after so many coincidences in my life. I really fell in love and was very, very happy!
I graduated in Product Design with a focus on Jewelry and started working in the cities of the interior of southern Brazil. My dream was to go to Italy, and I went with a friend, prepared a jewelry collection with natural Brazilian stones, all handmade and we started selling and then traveling through beautiful Italy. In 2010 I returned to Brazil and came to live in São Paulo/SP, where I worked in large jewelry companies and created many collections that I am very proud of. In 2013 I lived in Ireland and was greatly inspired by my current collections, such as the creation of the Celtic collection. After Ireland, I returned to São Paulo again, where I currently live. My dream has always been to open my own company, so in 2020 I took the plunge and opened my business that bears my name, SUANI MENEGHETTI.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

It has never been a smooth road, there have been so many struggles and there is still much to come. Because it is a different profession, there is no clear path to follow or model to follow other than my own. One of my difficulties was offering my work and selling it. I still have a bit of difficulty because I feel shy, but today I feel that I have improved a lot because I have met incredible people who admire my work. Little by little I am losing this shyness, but in the beginning it was very difficult.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

I am a jewelry designer and I have my own brand named SUANI MENEGHETTI. My work is a very large and important part of my life. It is where my soul lives, because my spiritual connection with the divine is materialized in jewelry where I can bring my creations and natural stones close to our bodies, carrying with them a little piece of God, bringing all the energy and vibration of the natural stone with the intention of protecting and energizing those who wear them. I am passionate about my work, I live and breathe it. Each piece that I create, design and develop has a meaning and a purpose. They are all exclusive and designed one by one. The creation begins with many freehand sketches, with watercolor paintings and illustrations. After a selection of sketches, I make the technical drawing and adjust all the ergonomics of the pieces, making them become real. From that moment on, a wonderful team begins to work using cutting-edge technology to manufacture the pieces, all prototyped on a 3D printer, thus providing greater resistance, better finishing and lightness to the piece. Finally, the pieces are plated in 18k gold, white rhodium or black rhodium, where they receive another special treatment that greatly increases the durability of the pieces.

The stones used in the collections are all natural. I strongly believe in the power and energy they carry with them, providing protection for those who wear them.

All the pieces I create have a purpose, they are designed and inspired with a depth that comes from my soul, because I love what I do and today I have the opportunity to put my creations into the world.

What I am most proud of is never having given up in the face of the countless difficulties of having my brand.

What sets me apart from others is that my jewelry is unique and exclusive.
