Today we’d like to introduce you to Nika Ladonna

Hi Nika, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.

Black6Hearts Clothing was started when I left a toxic and abusive relationship. Being depressed and being in a constant state of darkness, it’s my way of bringing light not just to my life, but to the lives of so many other people who may or who still that same darkness.. It’s truly amazing to see how this brand has grown over the course of 5 years..

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

The road has not been easy, in fact, it still isn’t.. So many obstacles, challenges and hurdles I had and still have to navigate through and overcome.. Some of the struggles are simply finding a dedicated team, being able to produce enough inventory for my customers, and finding the right production team.. Being a female designer, you just don’t get the recognition you deserve in a male dominated industry…

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?

I happen to be a fashion designer, streetwear fashion if you will.. I specialize in custom letterman jackets, hoodies, jogger sets, swimsuits, shorts sets, dresses, socks, hats etc.. you name it, I can most likely bring it to life.. I call it “wearable art”.. I’m most proud of being independent.. There’s no business partner, no investors, not team, just me and I’ve been able to sustain Black6Hearts and grow alone.. What sets Black6Hearts apart from other brands is our unique spin we put on our garments.. Black6Hearts isn’t just dope logo or catchy slogan, it has a powerful message and meaning behind it.

What are your plans for the future?

Our plans for the future are establishing a second entity to the Black6Hearts empire with Black6Hearts Drip and Sip Events LLC.. Hosting in different cities starting with two dates in Indiana..
