Hi Liubov, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Hello.
My name is Liubov and I’m a makeup artist and hair stylist.
It’s my pleasure to tell you a little bit about myself. I come from a beautiful small town of Reni, Ukraine.
I have a little son, who is 5 years old, and a beloved husband. We moved to America 2.5 years ago from Ukraine.
I have been in the beauty field for almost 10 years. I love my profession very much and give myself completely to it. I never thought that I would be in this field, but God has his own plans and he is never wrong. I always wanted to be a teacher of physical education, but it so happened that for health reasons I could not get to the entrance practical exam. So I decided to enter the beauty field and I liked it very much. And as I said, I have been here for 10 years and I have never regretted it.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

I think every profession has challenges at the beginning of the journey. I had them too, I was afraid, shy, worried. Not everything worked out the first time and I often thought about ending this path. I had a very strong support group that did not let me stop. And every time I did makeup or hairstyle it was easier, because every time I took into account those or other mistakes and corrected them. I was very much trained, upgraded my skills and now I am also trained very often, every half a year, as in our profession can not stop and need to constantly evolve.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

My job is to give people joy through beauty. It is the most beautiful thing that can be in this world, to give people a piece of happiness and show them that they are beautiful. When people come to me for haircut, makeup or hairstyling,or for a complete makeover, my task is to make people leave me happy and like themselves. I will choose exactly the image that will be completely suitable for him. If a client comes to me with a certain makeup or hairstyle, and I see that it does not fit, I will suggest another one. My profession – it is not just to put makeup, make a hairstyle of any kind, but it is creativity, love for my profession, respect for people. I can not even describe how I feel my profession, I think that it is my calling – to give people happiness through it. I feel so warm when I see the joy in the eyes of my client through the mirror.
I’m proud that I can show people to see themselves even more beautiful than they are.
What makes me different from others? Does it? Only my clients can answer this question!)
I think that every master is an individual and everyone works the way his heart tells him to. That’s how I work. I create my work by the way I see a person, feel his mood, looking for exactly what will be perfect for him. To emphasize the beauty that God has given.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?

Oh, that’s an interesting question. Maybe because I like to cook. Oh, I found when I lived in Ukraine we had a day of free haircuts every month at the salon for those in need. I’d like to continue that here in America, I think I will, but a little later.
