Today we’d like to introduce you to Knocka P. Rochi.

Hi Knocka P., please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.

I am Andrew Powell AKA Knocka P. Rochi. My Father gave me my AKA, so I feel like its legit, not just a stage name. People have been calling me knocka for many years. Andrew Powell is also my Father, he put a Basketball, and a mic in my hand, Music is my Passion, Growing up stability wasn’t familiar. Family was! Even though my Farther and Mother did not raise me, I was always surrounded by my family didn’t matter witch side. In my upbringing I lived with both grandmothers, and 2 Aunties, but I haven’t sat at a table and ate a meal with both my parents at the same time. (this is still to be true) Growing up all I wanted was a real Family, I had many brothers and sisters through the years, we weren’t raised together, nor were we full blood siblings, (not that it matters.. you my brother, you my sister no matter what Ima ride for you… ) but we saw each other :…. or more so I saw them fairly frequently through the first 10 or so years of my life. I lost count how many schools I went too by the end of elementary. Long story short all I wanted was a loving Family with togetherness, and stability. I have that Today! My wife and 5 Children; Full Blooded Siblings.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Not at all. I think people expect a smooth road. Any body who has accomplished goals knows its indeed a rocky one. I could talk about all the struggles I’ve been through, for me to keep it true there are to many struggles along the way rather they are battling with Family, Friends, random people, or certain circumstances, it all falls down to you. Energy is important, what do you spend your energy doing?? Look in the mirror, ask yourself some serious questions; if you don’t like the answers… It’s time to make some changes the best you can. What I am trying to say is I was, and am still my biggest obstacle i face. If i am struggling it is because I have allowed myself to do so.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

I do a lot of things. I could say I do music. Honestly tho I can’t even read music. I create frequencies, sent to me spiritually. I specialize in being Original. I produce, write, record, mix, master, and publish my music independently. People know me to be a hustler, a go getter. Anything I set my mind to I will obtain in a short period of time, I am able to grow and learn quickly because I am a student of the game,… a sponge. Overall I am highly favored, showered with Love, and Family. I am a proud Husband, and Father of 5 children. What sets me apart from others is the same thing that gravitate people towards me; relatability, and Influence.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?

Christmas at Grandma’s house, Grandma raised me, she gave me most of my my core values, and supported my dreams. One Christmas stood out to me. Christmas 1999. Everybody showed up! Great Grandparents, Great Aunties, Aunties, Auntie, Uncles, all of your cousins, brothers, sisters, but the one person I was most excited to see was my Father. I didn’t know at the time that the Adults thought the world was going to end the year 2000 😂 Any way my Father would have my sisters and I perform Jackson 5 Christmas songs, I was Mike, I had the Fro and all man.. Pops put the mic in my hand and the music in my heart. I really enjoyed performing those songs for the family. That whole night was memorable, my dad brought a camcorder. I remember showing off in front of the camera with my cousins and I for real slipped and fell on a butter knife with butter on it 😂 Christmas 1999
