Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Mitchell
Hi Kimberly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I got my start in marketing back when I was a pre-teen in 4-H. I would have to fundraise multiple times a year for various projects and I learned how to make tri-fold pamphlets on my computer and would take them with me to my Dad’s Rotary Club to make a 3-5 minute presentation on my project or latest fundraiser.
Fast-forward into college I fell in love with communication studies and marketing. At University I started taking journalism classes and got connected with a boutique called Urban Outlaw. Because of the article I wrote about her new boutique She and I started collaborating on a fashion show, she needed someone to help market the show. From that moment on I was fully emersed in marketing after accepting a part-time job with her. I got into the content creation, web design and social media side of marketing and haven’t looked back.
After college I purchased Urban Outlaw from the original owner and moved the boutique from a storefront to online only and did pop-up events at local rodeos. I was able to hone my marketing skills through trial and error with this boutique. Come the end of 2021 I decided to close down the boutique as my passion was no longer there, I knew I was being called to shift my business into a marketing agency to help other businesses with their marketing needs. Fast-forward to today I have been operating Kickin’ Rose Media for almost 3 years.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have definitely not had smooth sailing. There has been some trial and error in learning what services I want to offer, who my ideal client is and what I need to charge. But that is how it is with all businesses. I am a firm believer that if business is easy your doing it wrong.

I am the founder and CEO of Kickin’ Rose Media a social media and marketing agency based in Idaho. My goal is to “Bring Your Brand to Life by Marketing with a Western Twist”. I specialize in helping small businesses and entrepreneurs alike in creating a stand out brand online that has an engaged community.
My main offers are Social Media Management, Content Creation, SMS & Email Marketing, Brand Photography, and Marketing Strategy.
What sets me apart is that I’ve been in their shoes as a business owner who feels like they just cant get the attention of their ideal customer. I learned how to overcome and adapt my business to be successful.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I would say I am not a huge believer in luck, but rather I believe in showing up, putting in the work and being honest and respectful.
