Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff Revilla.
Hi Jeff, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into the world of live events and podcasting began in 2015 when I launched the “Stuff I Never Knew Trivia Game Show” podcast. Recording that first episode was a revelation—it showed me the immense power of real-time connections with people from all corners of the globe. This experience planted the seed for what I later conceptualized as the “infinite seat” theater.
The idea was to create a venue that transcended traditional physical limits—a theater where there was always room for one more, where every event could be attended by anyone, anywhere. This vision of inclusivity and limitless participation evolved into what is now Poduty Live LLC. At Poduty Live, we don’t just host events; we create vibrant, interactive experiences that extend far beyond the walls of our venue in Tarentum, PA. We’ve built a space where technology and community intersect, allowing us to connect with audiences both locally and globally.
From the early days of podcasting to running a full-fledged live event venue, every step has been about expanding how we connect and share experiences. Today, at Poduty Live, we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what live entertainment can be, ensuring that there’s always an “infinite seat” available for anyone who wants to join.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, the road hasn’t been smooth, but each challenge has been a valuable learning opportunity. Transitioning from an entirely virtual event production to managing a physical theater space at Poduty Live LLC presented a steep learning curve. One of the initial hurdles was mastering the art of live staging—understanding the intricacies of acoustics and the logistics of live performances was something entirely new to me.
Equipment was another major challenge. Determining which pieces worked best in a live setting versus a virtual one involved a lot of trial and error. There were numerous instances of purchasing and returning gear as I figured out the optimal setup for both sound quality and viewer experience.
Just finding the perfect venue was a journey in itself. It took two years of searching to find a place that met all my criteria—the right ambiance, acoustics, layout, and location. During this time, real estate and rental prices were surging, which added an extra layer of difficulty. I had to remain patient and vigilant, waiting for the ideal space to emerge. Finally, our current location at 408 Corbet St in Tarentum became available, and it was exactly what we needed for a podcast theater.
Despite these challenges, the process of overcoming them has only strengthened our foundation and deepened my commitment to creating a unique space where everyone is welcome to join in, true to our vision of the “infinite seat” theater.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am particularly known for my expertise in digital marketing and multimedia production, with over two decades of experience in the field. My deep understanding of how technology can enhance entertainment allows me to create immersive experiences that combine high-quality production with real-time viewer interaction. My work at Poduty Live LLC has established me as a leader in creating spaces where technology and community intersect, fostering connections that turn ordinary events into extraordinary experiences.
What sets me apart is my commitment to not just hosting events but creating vibrant, engaging platforms where live interaction and digital technology meet. This unique blend of skills and my forward-thinking vision have made me a respected figure in the digital and live event industry.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey with Poduty Live LLC is the vital role of patience and the need to educate and nurture talent. Launching a venue as innovative as Poduty Live isn’t just about building a space; it’s about cultivating a new culture of live podcasting. Many podcasters are accustomed to the comfort of recording in their home offices or basements, far from the immediate feedback of a live audience.
I’ve come to realize that to truly innovate in the world of entertainment, you must also invest time in helping creators transition and adapt. This involves not just providing them with a stage but also supporting them in developing the skills necessary to engage with a live audience effectively. It’s not a “build it and they will come” scenario; it’s more about paving a new pathway and guiding others along it. This journey has taught me the importance of being not just a facilitator but also an educator and supporter in the evolution of podcasting.
