Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaques Vivar

Hi Jaques, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

I was born in Chicago and raised in Las Vegas Nevada. I started off as a graffiti artist, and a rollerskater in highschool. After being on Ellen in about 2004 i graduated high school & was off to a horrible start in adulthood. I fell in love with Krump dancing in 2006 & went as hard as i can. As a freelance graphic designer & phone sales rep by day, i learned krump and built a brand for myself in the krump community world wide. In 2012 i started a dance crew along side my friends, which turned into an international brand & it was dismantled in 2017 after my first marriage came crashing down. So at the age of 30 i started over. I build Swarm Brand which was an old dance name of mine. It means Solider With A Ready Mind. I wanted to originally start an ecommerce streetwear brand but then realized i was really good at helping businesses brand themselves online, and get their online presence started & maintained. So Swarm Brand turned into Swarm Branding in 2019. Still doing freelance and working as a Marketing Director at a corporation i was really itching to get out of the workplace and build my own business. So when the pandemic hit i invested in my own business endeavors and bought the LLC for Swarm Branding. In 2022 i acquired my first office space, and now im 3 employees in and 2023 we hit our first 6 figure year. We are a full fledged recording studio, podcast studio, print shop, and digital marketing agency.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Definitely not. Divorce, Business failures, ups and downs. Ive experienced it all. Even from being suicidal in 2017 when i got my divorce and thats how Swarm Brand was built. I wanted to be a Soldier With A Ready Mind for anything. & i had to do the inner work to make that happen.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

I am a krump dancer, rollerskater and amazing designer. I am a graphic designer, website designer, coder, and leader. Im a husband, and father, and most of all im a Jesus follower. I specialize in WordPress websites, & Photoshop/Illustrator. I also am very good at designing large format items & my team is amazing at social media content.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?

The covid 19 crisis messed people up. From mental health, lack of trust in our government because of misinformation & more. Personally, i learned to lean on God even more in that time.
