Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannie Churchwell
Hi Hannie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Finding my passion in women’s health all started back in 2022 when I started to hear more talk about the negative side effects of hormonal birth control (HBC.) At the time, I had been on the pill for over 5 years and started to question why I was even on it. I was learning so many new things like how you could track your fertility and naturally prevent pregnancy and I was shocked. I asked myself, “Why weren’t we taught these things?” I started doing research for myself, decided to go the natural route and since then have been successfully preventing pregnancy without any medication.
In doing my research, I was having so many similar conversations with women who were in the same boat. “I had no idea that I could track my cycles…I had no idea that this is what is happening to my body with age…I had no idea if I just did XYZ, I could support my hormones and feel better…”
These conversations really drove me to want to help bridge this gap of knowledge for other women, so I ended up creating a coaching program where I could help women bring harmony to their hormones so that they can reclaim their energy, build physical strength and elevate their mindset to show up with unwavering confidence.
That signature 1:1 coaching program is called Happy Hormones with Hannie! We do a deep dive into women’s health and uncover the root causes of your weight loss and hormonal imbalance issues, so that we can collaborate and help you create a nutrition, fitness and mindset routine that will last you a lifetime
That means you no longer need to battle your relationship with food, fitness and yourself!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I believe that all of the highs and the lows that I’ve experienced have shaped me into the woman I am today, not only in my professional life, but my personal life as well!
I found that all of the struggles I faced all stemmed from one thing, my own lack of self-trust. I had to heal my relationship with myself and self-worth in order to achieve the success and growth that I have today.
For so long, I has so many doubts about my worth, my “lack of knowledge”, my “unreadiness” that ultimately opened up doors for others to walk all over me and not treat me with the respect I deserved.
I thought, “I’ll wait until…I learn this…I have to have this much money or time in an industry before I do that…I don’t have it in me to be successful just yet…,” and so many more self limiting beliefs.
Healing this part of me, taught me how to stand up for myself, stand up for the life that was in alignment with my dreams and let nothing get in the way of that.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
In any industry, you have good and bad apples, and I’m not saying I’m perfect, but I believe my coaching style and my values set me apart from a lot of other coaches in my industry.
Since starting my coaching journey, I’ve heard and seen so many horror stories unfold from so many women who were just treated like “another number” when they invested in a coaching program.
I truly believe in operating with integrity and providing exceptional value and services to my clients.
Too many coaches see the glitz and glamour of the advantages of being online, the ability to “scale fast,” and cut corners to make money, and that has never appealed to me.
Especially in an industry where we are meant to support women through some of the most vulnerable times of their lives, I believe that there is no room for taking advantage of women and just making another quick sale.
From clients coming to me after getting cookie cutter programs, coaches who take days to respond to their messages, coaches who use AI technology to respond to check ins for them…I’ve heard it all and I think it’s disgusting.
I truly strive to provide 1:1 support to my clients that they never believed they could, or could even dream of. I want my clients to walk away and say, “WOW she not only did she exceed my expectations, but she surprised me with the kind of support I didn’t even know was possible, especially through a screen!” I know this is they key to help women get down to the root cause of their symptoms, and truly live their dream authentic lives in bodies they are proud of and feel amazing in.
What makes you happy?
Living authentically. It’s simple, it’s taking a moment of my day to ask myself, “What do I need today?” and being so in tune with my body and needs that I can act in that moment, no matter how small or big it is. Your connection with yourself is extremely important, and you won’t know true bliss or happiness without it.
It can be as small as taking a pause in my day to go out on a walk to be out in nature that brings me joy, stopping to text a friend and catch up randomly, or booking a flight to a dream vacation.
Being able to truly connect with myself has brought me so many experiences of happiness and bliss.
