Today we’d like to introduce you to Francesca Brown.
Hi Francesca , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Singing was my first love, it has come in and out of my life througout the years, but for the last 15 years or so I have committed to it.
At first, I had no idea what to do or where to start.. I was on a journey. I tried the band thing and it was great, but I quickly realized I needed to do my own thing, so I learned to play the guitar. Having this tool has given me the power to write and play where and when I can.
After a while, I was able to find other musicians who enjoyed the music and wanted to play with me and create more music.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life has its obstacles, loss, work, finances etc.. but I have been able to use it all in my music.
I’m sure some might consider having children an obstacle for such a career, but I’ve always embraced it and tried not to feel like it was one or the other. If a woman wants to have children and be an artist or have a career, they are entitled to that. Sometimes, it just takes us a little longer, as we need to balance both with care.
There is a place for it all, and I have done my best to take it all in.

As a singer-songwriter, I do many things. Sometimes I have to do other things, to keep doing what I love the most, singing and writing. Unfortunately, the world wants to pay less and less for music, so web artists dabble in many side hustles.
My most passionate work is writing from my soul and singing live for others; it is my drug of choice you could say.
