Hi Diane, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Hi, my name is Diane Lopez. I am the creator behind dreamy cosmic Studios, a dreamy stationary, &sticker brand. I am here to help create a space where creativity, inspiration and a little bit of magic come together. After almost 3 years in business, I am still trying to make my dreams as an artist come true. Unlike some folks, I did not know what I was gonna do with my life as a child. The idea of creating a business for myself do not spark into my mid 20s. after going through many difficult challenges in my life, it all hit me one day when I realized I could I could create the life I always dreamed of. Looking back I am so grateful where I am right now and the long journey ahead of me. I know now that I want to be a mixed media artist and share more encouraging words thru cute, dreamy art & stationary.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

Of course, my life took many unexpected turns and twists. I was always a kid and a teenager who couldn’t wait to be an adult. Now that I’m here I am more a kid now than ever. During college and in my 20s, I really learned and discovered more about myself. It was like I didn’t know who I was at the moment. It’s almost I had to look back when I was a kid and see what things I enjoyed when I was younger. I had a few moments where Art was a place I could be myself and explore myself. Since I was such a hurry to grow up, I didn’t enjoy these parts of life. Now that I’m in a space of healing, especially to my inner child I know that little girl I was, she was always trying to express self, make friends and have fun. I never thought I would consider myself an artist only barely starting my journey for a few years now. That was also one of my biggest challenges is accepting myself as an artist. I I took the courageous leap to explore my creativity and what I found I would never give up on that dream.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?

I started my business about three years ago with the idea of just creating stickers of my art that would inspire & empower to follow your dreams. Now I have expanded my designs on different merch like sticker books sticker sheets, keychains, buttons, and I hope to expand more stationary this year. I intend to create any art that helps to spark inspiration and creativity also with a dreamy & nostalgic vibe. My best seller last year were a handful of different stickers I made and I use all my fun plushies and trinkets as inspiration for my art sometimes. I am still working on going my following and hoping to make my artist a full-time job. What I hoped to work on into show the world is you can be creative. You can do anything that you mindset yourself to and why not add cute stationary with great, funny relatable, unique art creations. I believe the story behind my brand is what makes me different. I am a self-made artist out here trying to make herself proud and my family. I am so grateful for where I am now that little girl inside me would have no idea what I got myself into now. I am proud of putting myself out there cause I was always a shy girl as a kid but now I feel I have the power to inspire others to follow their dreams.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?

If you’re unhappy about your life, then you have the power to create the reality. You truly dream of. Just take a lot of hard work and discipline, but you working on yourself , working on your creativity , and working on your art that will pay off in the end. I have faith and I know that my creativity will supply my whole life. This is still something that I am currently working on in my reality and in my business, but we have to have hope and faith that art is all that we need.
