Greetings, I am Aryan Sachdeva, a dreamer and storyteller driven by rapid thoughts and an insatiable quest for understanding. My mind constantly oscillates between reality and imagination, fueled by an innate curiosity about the human experience and the intricate tapestry of life. As a young explorer at heart, I’ve embarked on numerous adventures, particularly in my hometown of Delhi. At just 16, I began chronicling the city’s hidden stories while navigating its streets on my bicycle. This unique perspective allowed me to uncover narratives often overlooked, finding beauty in the mundane and magic in the everyday.

My passion for storytelling has led to recognition in prominent publications such as Hindustan Times, Times of India, and Outlook Traveller. I’ve had the privilege of sharing my insights with over 120 attendees across India during Korn Ferry India’s Different Stroke program, discussing my unique approach to exploring and narrating urban experiences. Through my writing, I strive to capture the essence of fleeting moments, painting vivid pictures with words and evoking emotions that resonate deeply.

While my journey as a storyteller continues to shape my worldview, I’m now setting my sights on the realms of high finance and consulting. This transition represents a natural evolution of my analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. In these fields, I see an opportunity to apply my rapid thinking and curiosity to complex financial scenarios, utilize my storytelling abilities to present data and strategies effectively, and explore the “why” behind economic trends and business decisions. I aim to bridge the gap between creative thinking and analytical rigor.

As I embark on this new chapter, I remain committed to my core belief that every experience, whether in the streets of Delhi or the corridors of high finance, contributes to our collective narrative. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

As I reflect on my journey, I recognize that the path I’ve taken has been filled with both challenges and opportunities. While my exploration of Delhi’s hidden corners has brought me immense joy and fulfillment, I now find myself navigating the exciting yet demanding world of high finance and consulting.

One of the most transformative experiences came during the COVID-19 pandemic. The shift to online classes initially left me feeling isolated, but I turned that uncertainty into a chance for creativity and exploration. Venturing out on my bicycle, I discovered forgotten places and wove their stories into my writing. This period taught me resilience and the importance of finding beauty in unexpected moments.

Now, as I transition into high finance and consulting, I’m embracing new challenges with enthusiasm. The need to rapidly acquire complex financial knowledge is invigorating; every day presents an opportunity to learn and grow. While the intricacies of financial models and market analysis are different from the narratives I’ve crafted, I’m excited to dive in and expand my skill set.

Adapting my communication style is another rewarding challenge. My storytelling background equips me with a unique lens through which to present data-driven insights creatively. I see this as an opportunity to blend analytical rigor with my narrative flair, making complex information more relatable and engaging.

Building connections in this new field is also an exciting journey. While it requires stepping out of my comfort zone, I’m eager to engage with professionals in high finance and consulting. Each interaction is a chance to showcase how my diverse background can contribute fresh perspectives to projects.

Although the competitive nature of this industry can be intense, I view it as a motivating factor. With my background in economics, combined with my storytelling abilities, I believe I can approach complex problems in innovative ways. Rather than seeing these challenges as barriers, I see them as opportunities to shine and demonstrate the value of a multifaceted approach.
