Today we’d like to introduce you to Theresa Lennahan
Theresa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After 20 years in the creative agency world, helping build brands, and pouring my heart into this industry, these past two years have been the most intense, meaningful, inspiring, and fulfilling of my entire career.
Starting as a junior creative straight out of college, every step of my journey feels like it’s been leading to this—laying the foundation and gaining the experience to create Little Sundays. I couldn’t be more proud of how far we’ve come, in such a short amount of time, or more excited for what’s ahead.
We’re about to celebrate TWO amazing years of Little Sundays Studio! It’s such an exciting moment as Jacquie and I lean into year three of building this dream agency together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I joke sometimes that if I’d known how challenging this journey would be, I might’ve thought twice about taking the leap—but I’m so glad I did! The road has been anything but smooth—full of little bumps and some pretty big hurdles—but every step has been worth it.
At my core, I’m a creative thinker and problem-solver. I love being in the thick of things, tackling big visual challenges for brands. But what I learned quickly is that the real work starts with building relationships and earning trust. Solving those big business problems for clients comes only after you’ve proven your value—and that takes time, effort, and showing up every single day.
In the beginning, it was tough. We worked hard to earn our stripes and show what we could do. No one hands you a good reputation—you have to earn it, over and over again. And while it’s not always easy, it’s also what makes the journey so rewarding
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Little Sundays, we’re a boutique, full-service creative agency with over 20 years of experience in branding and design. We love working with passionate start-ups carving out their place in the world, as well as established global brands.
We believe every successful brand starts with strategy. For us, it’s all about connecting the dots between business goals, a brand’s purpose, and its core values. We dive deep into what each brand wants to achieve while also uncovering how that brand wants its audience to feel.
We craft brand stories and visuals that consumers naturally want to connect with, and we absolutely LOVE what we do. When you work with Little Sundays, you’re not just getting thoughtful design—you’re getting a fun, collaborative experience that brings your brand’s vision to life.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
The COVID-19 crisis really opened my eyes to the value of working remotely. Before the pandemic, it wasn’t the norm for creative agencies to work this way—especially since so much of what we do is built on collaboration. There was this idea that we all needed to be in the same room, in the same city, to do our best work. That’s just not true!
I learned to embrace new tools, like MIRO, to create virtual spaces for collaboration. It also expanded our possibilities—suddenly, we were able to work with incredible creatives, strategists, and illustrators from all over the country. It’s been such a game-changer for how we approach working together.
