Today we’d like to introduce you to Shenora Lechleidner
Hi Shenora, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Faith, grounded in Hebrews 11:1, has always been the foundation of my life. This verse—“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”—is deeply intertwined with my family’s story, particularly that of my great-grandfather. Born in 1908, he grew up in a time when African American men were viewed as less than human. He was born a slave and later achieved freedom thanks to his parents purchasing it for him. He left the south with an 8th grade education and managed the remarkable feat of becoming one of the first African Americans to own a grocery store in Detroit. He also owned multiple estates, including real estate and junkyards, providing shelter and employment for his family.
My great-grandfather’s success was hard-earned, but his prosperity also made him a target. He eventually lost his store and some of his estates due to racial prejudice and the discomfort his success caused among some in the community. Still, his legacy of entrepreneurship and resilience became a guiding force for our family.
My grandmother, one of his children, dedicated her life to community service, accumulating more volunteer hours than work hours. I spent much of my childhood with her, absorbing stories of our family’s history while helping care for my great-grandfather, who suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease. Though he rarely spoke in those years, the strength and wisdom in his eyes made a lasting impact on me.
My father, another significant influence, was an entrepreneur and pastor. He had several businesses, including a barbecue business, and also ran a clothing and food bank for those considered outcasts in the community. Despite facing his own challenges, including unfulfilled promises and stolen ideas, my father remained steadfast, teaching me the importance of responding to adversity with grace and self-control.
These family influences shaped my own journey. We recently moved to Georgia, my late father’s birthplace, as an act of faith, much like the bold moves my ancestors made before me. Witnessing their struggles and triumphs, I often tried to avoid pursuing entrepreneurship myself, Even though my family’s economic disadvantages and lack of resources presented significant obstacles, I realized that being an entrepreneur could look different than what they went through.
Today, I am a bra replacement specialist with Ruby Ribbon, a role that allows me to enter intimate spaces with women and share in their stories of overcoming challenges. Since 2020, I’ve helped over 2,000 women with their shapewear choices, but what truly matters to me is the relationships I’ve built and the comfort I’ve been able to offer. I also host the “Soul Purpose with Shemama” podcast, where I share stories of faith and resilience, hoping to inspire others as I grow and through my own journey.
My journey hasn’t been without pain and trauma, often being marginalized or dismissed. But my faith has sustained me, and I believe that I am living in the answered prayers of those who came before me. Though I don’t yet have multiple businesses or estates, I am committed to walking boldly by faith, continuing my education, and ensuring that my children and future generations will carry forward this legacy of perseverance, love, and unwavering faith.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced my share of challenges, from multiple C-sections and back pain to battling an autoimmune disease. Add to that the stress of moving to a different state while experiencing housing insecurity, and life has certainly tested me. But instead of letting these struggles define me, I’ve used them to connect with my clients on a deeper level. I understand firsthand how overwhelming it can be to juggle physical pain, health issues, and the uncertainties of life. That’s why I’m so passionate about offering products that provide genuine comfort and support.
The flexibility of my business allows me to be who I need to be—for my family and my clients. It’s given me the freedom to navigate my own challenges while still showing up fully for those who depend on me. My journey has taught me that even small moments of relief can make a big difference, and through my business, I strive to bring that comfort to others who are navigating their own battles.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
For a few years, I kept quiet, not saying much to anyone because I had been told I talked too much. Those words silenced me, making me feel like my voice didn’t matter. However, my grandmother recognized my potential and enrolled me in a theatrical group to help me rediscover my voice. That experience was transformative, helping me to reclaim my confidence and realize that my voice is my strength. Now, I embrace speaking up as a way to connect, inspire, and make a difference, knowing that my words have the power to uplift and empower others.
