Hi Natalie Rochelle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

In 2014, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Illinois-Springfield. At the time, I was unemployed and expecting my first child. Motivated by my circumstances and a deep passion for fashion, I launched my first venture, House of Chelle Boutique, in June of that year. The boutique specialized in custom clwothing and vintage pieces. Thanks to successful fashion shows and effective marketing strategies, my business thrived, prompting inquiries about how I grew my customer base and managed multiple boutiques, including one focused on custom sorority apparel.

Responding to these queries on social media led to a suggestion that I start a marketing agency to help other small businesses. Initially, I offered website development for $40 to build my portfolio. My skills and reputation grew, leading to contracts with corporate and government clients. I also started a podcast to teach women how to build and profit from their brands, which marked the emergence of my persona as THEE NATALIE ROCHELLE. I transformed my profile into a marketing hub, where followers could learn and grow with me.

Over time, I expanded into diverse sectors like marketing, cannabis, beauty, and event planning. My expertise and success generated significant traction on social media, where I built an audience of over 50,000 followers. Now, my focus is on educating women about creating multiple income streams and managing their finances. Leveraging years of financial success and expertise, I authored “Money Moves,” a self-reflective journal designed to help women cultivate financial savvy and live the Rich Girl Lifestyle they envision.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

My journey has been far from easy. Every day presented a new challenge as I strived to make ends meet while building my business as a full-time entrepreneur. It was during these times that I honed my skills in money management, business operations, and client relations. Now, as a full-time employee at a Fortune 500 company, I leverage these skills to manage marketing programs with an entrepreneurial spirit, which has been instrumental in my career advancement. I am deeply grateful for each struggle I faced, as they shaped who I am today. I believe that these challenges were not obstacles but opportunities that God provided to mold me, rather than break me.

We’ve been impressed with Thee Natalie Rochelle/NR Media Agency, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Since 2017, I have been helping entrepreneurs, specifically female entrepreneurs, get to the bag through events, webinars, content, podcast episodes, digital products, and more with my brands, Thee Natalie Rochelle and NR Media Agency.

My new focus is teaching girlies how to control their money through budgeting, saving, and multiple income streams. I do this through the content on my social media profiles, email list, and digital products I offer on my website for theenatalierochelle.com. I also help small businesses manage their business and social media marketing through consultancy with my agency NR Media Agency which I have had since 2017. All my services can be found on nrmediaagency.com.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?

The Covid-19 pandemic truly tested and affirmed my entrepreneurial spirit. During this challenging time, I managed to achieve six-figure revenues twice by fully leveraging my marketing expertise to maximize the potential of my brands. The experience taught me to persevere and intensify my efforts, reinforcing the idea that effective marketing and social media remain essential, regardless of global circumstances. It was a testament to the resilience of my business model, proving it to be both recession-proof and pandemic-proof.
