Hi Michellelynette, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Hello, Pathology Assist-Temp, Inc., was established in 2006 in Northern Virginia. The business was established to provide a better work life balance for everyone. We have successfully allowed our employees to work shorter days, half days and weekends as needed. We initially focused on staffing augmentation for elective surgeries; however the pandemic was the nudge we needed to diversify our client base. We slowly begin incorporating government contracting into our overall mostly commercial/private client base. We grew from having only myself as an employee to 7 currently. We now are subcontractors for the Veterans Health Administration.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

We had an upward number of successes from 2006-2019 with an elective surgery base. Our greatest struggle was during the pandemic when elective surgeries were cancelled and we had to pivot to the rurual midwest around kansas city which became the new hub of where surgeries could be performed.
During the end of the pandemic, we pivoted into: Research, Autopsies, Tissue Bank retrievals and Government contracting. Although 2022-2023 were rough years of recovery, we are now poised to triple our revenue by the end of the year.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about PATHOLOGY ASSIST-TEMP, INC.?

Pathology Assist-Temp, Inc. is now a full service Pathology (Study of human diseases) company. Not only do we supply professionals to process human tissue for microscopic analysis, but we also sell medical supplies and eqipment needed for the Laboratory.
We specializing in providing staff to process human body fluids, tissue and blood.
Our value proposition is that all of our staff has at least 10 years of experience and are ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathology) certified.
We are most proud of the flexible schedules we offer our employees including half days off monthly to do charity, care for a loved one or volunteer at their kids’ schools. We would like those who are reading to know that we are a woman owned company that values its employees and happy employees=longevity.
