My journey has been a rich tapestry woven with threads of empowerment, transformation, and a relentless pursuit of a fulfilling life both personally and professionally. It all began during my tenure as the Director of Finance for The Islands of Tahiti, where I immersed myself in the intricate world of financial management. However, amidst the demands of corporate life, I found myself craving more than just a successful career—I yearned for a life brimming with purpose, balance, and genuine passion.
Driven by this desire, I took the leap and ventured into entrepreneurship, launching Financial Vision Bookkeeping six years ago. This marked the launch of my mission to empower entrepreneurs by bridging their visionary aspirations with practical financial strategies. Through Financial Vision Bookkeeping, my team and I have guided countless clients on the path to transforming their businesses into thriving ventures, leveraging the power of strategic financial management.
Yet, my journey didn’t stop there. Fueled by a deeper calling to uplift and inspire, I embarked on another venture as a heart-centered life and business coach. With a focus on supporting female entrepreneurs, I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals towards their highest potential, both in their businesses and personal lives. From leading Coaching Adventure Groups in the serene landscapes of the San Juan Islands to offering tailored consulting sessions, my coaching endeavors have been a catalyst for profound transformation.
In both my coaching practice and bookkeeping firm, I operate by invitation or referral only, cultivating a community of highly motivated individuals committed to igniting change and achieving their greatest aspirations. Witnessing my clients transcend their limitations, double their incomes, and find profound fulfillment has been immensely rewarding, affirming the transformative power of aligning vision with action.
As I reflect on my journey thus far, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities to empower others and facilitate meaningful change. My story is one of continuous growth, evolution, and unwavering dedication to helping individuals craft lives and businesses they truly love. And as I look ahead, I am eager to continue guiding others towards their own paths of success, fulfillment, and limitless possibility.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As a female, I was taught to prioritize making others happy and seeking their approval. This mindset carried into my professional interactions, where I often found myself asking, “Is this person happy with me?” or “Does this person like me?” This approach led to a challenging work environment, where I felt more like an employee than a business owner. I often questioned why I started my own business if I wasn’t running it the way I wanted.
With the guidance of a loving and supportive coach, I realized that my tendency to please others was not serving me or my clients. This behavior created a dynamic where clients carried more responsibility, and I was merely being dragged along. This was not sustainable or fulfilling for me.
To address this, I implemented clear direction, processes, and requirements for working with me. I also defined the scope of work more precisely. These changes helped shift the dynamic, creating a structured environment where clients could relax, knowing that everything was handled efficiently.
It’s important to note that this transition was uncomfortable initially. It took time and practice to develop the language and systems that clients needed to follow. However, over time, it became natural to lead my clients and guide them through the process of working with me.
As a result, I began working with more serious entrepreneurs and saw even better results. Additionally, I was able to continually raise my fees, reflecting the increased value I was providing. This journey, though challenging, ultimately led to a more rewarding and successful business.

I run two successful ventures: a boutique bookkeeping firm, Financial Vision Bookkeeping, and a heart-centered life and business coaching practice. At Financial Vision Bookkeeping, my team and I support small to medium-sized businesses by transforming their financial confusion into clarity and control. We provide one-on-one consulting and keep their books organized, enabling clients to run their businesses with ease and efficiency. Our clients often experience significant financial growth, doubling their income, reaching $1M revenue goals, expanding their teams, and increasing both profits and take-home pay by 50%, all while decreasing their working hours.
In my coaching practice, I primarily work with entrepreneurs ready to elevate their lives and businesses. I guide my clients through transformative processes, helping them expand their businesses while working less, let go of what no longer serves them, write and publish books, and learn to love and care for themselves and others more holistically. This year, for example, I am leading a Coaching Group for six female entrepreneurs, where many of them have already reached levels of growth and success they have dreamed of for years.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Starting a business was one of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken. At the time, my children were just 1 and 3 years old, and we had recently moved from California to Washington. Despite the uncertainty and challenges, I decided to bet on myself, which is exactly what I encourage my clients to do.
I believe that taking risks is an essential part of growth and success. It’s about stepping out of your comfort zone and trusting in your abilities. The risk I took in starting my business has paid off tremendously. It allowed me to create a fulfilling career that not only supports my family but also helps other entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.
These days, the risks I take are more about innovation and improvement. I constantly try new programs and offer new techniques and processes to my clients. While there’s always a chance that something might not work out as planned, the potential for positive impact and growth makes it worth it.
My perspective on risk is that it’s a necessary part of the journey. Without taking risks, we miss out on opportunities for learning and advancement. By embracing risk and betting on ourselves, we open the door to incredible possibilities and achievements.
