Owning a business is challenging – from increasing costs, regulations, competition and more the day to day of being a business owner if often far from glamorous. However, the reason so many of us do what we do is the moments when we are able to come through in a big way for our clients. The moments when we know we’ve made a real difference. Every entrepreneur we know wants to increase the frequency of those moments and so we think one of the best ways to do that is by having people share their stories with others – we can all learn from each other and become better recognizing and executing on opportunities to help our clients win.

Growing up in a small, farming town in Southwest, Georgia. Most people in my town rarely left or grew out of what they were born into. At a very early age I was already business minded. As soon as I could push a push mower, I was working for myself. Going door to door, I worked hard and when I was old enough would take on summer construction jobs, originally just as a painter at 13. By 15 I had saved enough money to get my first car. I purchased a 1993 Chevy Beretta and the rest is history. Read more>>

This was probably one of my biggest. I was in NC when Tee Grizzley reached out to me via IG. I was home for my best friends birthday dinner and I immediately knew I had to go. Tee Grizzley and I discussed over the phone what he wanted/needed and with my skills I told him don’t worry. I didn’t even know the condition of his hair but it’s nothing I can’t take on. Fast forward I took the first flight back to Houston mind you I lacked a sufficient amount of sleep over the past 72 hours but I was on a mission. I finally made it back home and had him meet me soon as I touched. Read more>>

We won an opportunity to work with a dental practice with multiple locations. My wife happened to be working at a medical practice and went across the street to get her teeth cleaned by a local dentist. My wife is the extrovert and very blunt. She also has dental office manager experience. The local dentist accidentally miscommunicated her treatment plan. She was concerned and the local dentist brought their General Manager in to address the concerns. He was apologetic for his team making the mistake. They fixed the issue. Read more>>

One of my clients, 518 Donuts, came to me when they were just starting out with an idea. They wanted to create a fried chicken and donut shop in the capital region and came to me to help create the brand (logo/menu/stickers/banners/ads/etc) Being tasked with a logo that is vintage in style and includes a chicken and a donut is no easy task. We nailed it down and I am pleased to say that their company is THRIVING. They have recently opened a second shop in a neighboring town. Read more>>

In 2022 we started offering women’s fly fishing retreats that provide fly fishing lessons, yoga, hot springs, and a guided trip with local guides. Our first retreat was small but meaningful because we had a mother (Sheri) and her two daughters (Genevieve and Madeline) join us from Missouri. It was their first mother/daughter vacation and we were so excited to take this adventure with them! Genevieve and Madeline had never fly fished and Sheri had only gone a few times with her sister who recently passed. Read more>>

Clients need to have their expectations managed. What they are looking for may not exist. With a little tweaking they will end up with the house of their dreams. For example – Andy and Rosemary wanted a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo for $200,000 in Charleston on the water and they needed a place to dock their sailboat. (Cheaply). The housing market at the time had no such animal. I asked them if they would consider Lake Marion or Lake Moultrie. They did a little research and said they were ruling them out because of alligators. In South Carolina if there is water you must assume there are alligators. Read more>>

As a writer, we always want to know how a reader feels about our story, rather it’s good or bad, we just want to know. There was this one reader in particular who had reached out to me a couple of years ago on Instagram. She stated how she found my page and enjoyed my content. She also went on about feeling leery to read my book because I was an unknown author to her. However, she reassured me that doubt was incorrect. She was blown away from the storyline and thanked me for bringing her out of this reading slump she had been in for quite some time. She ended the message with, “I’m a forever reader of yours.” To me, that’s customer success. Read more>>

My mother in law called me one day saying ,” my neighbors niece skin is horrible. She has a skin condition that is causing her face to have blemishes and bad acne. What can you do to help?” I told her I have a turmeric face wash that will help with the skin irritation, blemishes, and and. She ordered it and I immediately made it and sent it out. A couple of days after she received her order, my mother in law called me again saying I saw a difference in her face after the first wash.
