Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Laviolette
Hi Stacey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m Stacey Laviolette, a mom on a mission from Ontario, Canada! My journey began with my daughter, Piper. At age three, she faced tooth decay and countless dental procedures. Each dentist visit was filled with fear and tears. But I knew there had to be a brighter way to teach kids about dental health!
Now, with My Friend Toothy®, brushing and flossing is fun! I’m here to spread smiles and make dental hygiene an adventure for kids everywhere! Let’s make healthy habits fun together!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life is a rollercoaster ride filled with twists and turns, and this journey was no exception. Crafting the book took time, especially finding the perfect rhythm and meter. Plus, navigating the world of self-publishing while grappling with my own learning disability was challenging.
But despite the hurdles, my determination to make a difference in families’ lives kept me pushing forward. Each obstacle was a chance to grow and learn, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help children and families worldwide.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In addition to being a dedicated mom of two incredible kids, I wear many hats in my professional life. Alongside juggling the joys of motherhood, I’m also a passionate photographer, web designer, brand and marketing enthusiast. But what truly sets me apart is my creation: My Friend Toothy®.
Utilizing my expertise across various domains, I poured my heart and soul into every aspect of My Friend Toothy®. From conceptualizing the box design and capturing captivating photos to crafting its branding and driving its marketing efforts, I’m incredibly proud to say that I accomplished it all with the support of my family and friends! This holistic approach reflects my commitment to excellence and my unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on children’s lives.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
One of my go-to tools is a good old-fashioned to-do list. There’s something incredibly satisfying about physically crossing off tasks with pen and paper, no digital app can quite replicate that feeling of accomplishment for me. Whether it’s as simple as tidying up or tackling important work projects, checking off those boxes keeps me motivated and productive.
Another strategy that I find immensely helpful is time blocking in my online calendar. By scheduling specific blocks of time for different tasks, I ensure that I dedicate focused attention to each aspect of my life, whether it’s hitting the gym, working with photography clients, managing website projects, or advancing My Friend Toothy®. It’s a structured approach that helps me stay organized and efficient.
And of course, I can’t overlook the power of Facebook. It’s not just a social platform for me; it’s a valuable resource for both emotional support and business insights. From engaging with family, friends, and Toothy VIPs to seeking feedback on My Friend Toothy® or simply sharing moments of vulnerability when I need a mental break, the supportive community on Facebook is truly invaluable to me.
When it comes to books, I’m a big fan of anything related to self-help or business mindset. “Atomic Habits” by James Clear has been particularly influential, offering invaluable insights that have positively impacted both my business and personal life.
