Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherrie Robinson
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised in Chicago,IL. I grew up in a two parent blue collar house hold. I’ve a Christian was practically born in church. My faith is the foundation of who I am as a person. After graduating with my BA I’ve worked in the nonprofit sector in various degrees. However I always had a love for reading and writing. During the pandemic I started writing my first affirmation journal which I never officially published but was a proud accomplishment of mine. Also during the pandemic I met my ex husband we would marry by May 2021 and this is where my life transformed before my eyes. The marriage ended as quickly as it had started and the devastation of my relationship I felt lost. My believe and inspiration through GOD the healing journey began and I was motivated to write my first book. Beauty For Ashes The Actual Truth About Love It’s Not A Fairytale has given me hope in love again but also gave me a purpose. Today I’ve finished my second book and in the process of it being edited. I’m also soon starting my life coaching business because I want to help other women achieve their goals.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Welly journey has not been smooth sailing but I’m so grateful for every bump and curve along the way. I truly wouldn’t be the person I am if it was a smooth. I’ve had to deal with adultery, betrayal from my ex spouse. Rejection and shame but in spite of all these obstacles I’m so appreciative of the women am today as a result.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a self published Author. I would say I specialize in redemption of hope in God’s love for me and myself. I’m most proud of my book and that I never gave up. I believe what sets me apart is my authenticity and transparency. I don’t mind telling my story because if it saves the life of one person or gives them hope that’s enough for me.
How do you define success?
I would say success is never giving up even when you’ve failed you got back up and kept going anyway.
