Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Carter

Hi Sean, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?

What is my story?

I love the practice of “remembering how we came to be today.” I believe it’s important for everyone, especially creatives & entrepreneurs, to consider their roots, acknowledge what made us who we are, and consistently consider how we can show up more authentically in our lives daily.

Considering where I am in my journey today, I would deem myself a creative entrepreneur in training. In my day to day I serve as an Expert Client Advisor for the biggest luxury fashion company in the world. In this role, I offer fashion consultations, conduct high ticket sales, and lead training/development pertaining to sales, customer experience, and styling expertise.

I decided to work in the fashion industry to support my development as the leader of my creative agency, URBAN CONSCIOUS™️, as a means to cultivate my skills, attain exposure to & learn from high profile individuals, and learn how to cultivate an elevated customer experience.

In my final years of undergraduate study, I decided I would pursue a diversified & authentic life. I decided I would lead an artful life where I would create space for artists to thrive; to produce their art & have a community of consumers to present it to. This was the inspiration for UC™️, and it awakened in me the creative drive to produce my own art & hone my skills. As a self-taught artist with roots as a musician, I have always sought to synthesize my passions & remain fluid in my creative journey as I discover who I am & how I can deliver value to the world around me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

I am grateful for every obstacle on my journey, as each challenge has brought out my best qualities, while “obstacles” that have redirected me have – in hindsight – placed me exactly where I need to be for the growth my Soul seems to require.

Often, we step in our own way with limiting beliefs & self-concepts. Only recently have I accepted that I am an artist, despite growing up playing music, drawing, writing, and subconsciously pursuing fashion. It’s important to overcome limiting self-beliefs.

Another limiting belief is that we don’t have enough resources to realize our goals. Whether it be finances, materials, or time, having an open and fluid mindset is essential to finding the solution to achieving anything.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

I am known as a thought leader, as a creative collaborator, & for my fashion/artistic/cultural sensibility. I love the arts & I believe in unlocking one’s creative potential through exposure to various crafts & the synthesis of various philosophies/modalities in order to create something that feels new, yet familiar. I feel my awareness of the culture is unique, and I believe I have an uncanny ability to articulate concepts in a way that demystifies difficult ideas or helps people to simply see more clearly.

I like to maintain an air of mystery.
