Today we’d like to introduce you to Reinalis Ayala
Hi Reinalis, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
As a child I knew I’d grow up loving art when all I wanted to do was play in my best friend’s mom’s makeup. After years of occasionally doing my own, a friend confided in me to glam her on her BIRTHDAY… my FIRST EVER client. This boosted my confidence so much, eventually I created a business page specifically for embracing and enhancing so many other beautiful faces.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh of course not. It’d be an outright lie if I say quitting hadn’t crossed my mind a few times. Entrepreneurship has many struggles of its own but I’d say the biggest has to be trusting the process. It’s so easy to lose faith in the future because of slow progress and unrealistic expectations. This is why it’s so important to congratulate and celebrate your accomplishments— even the smallest, because overall great self esteem is what helps you overcome the bumps along the way!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a makeup artist most known as @Beatbyrayy on Instagram. I specialize in makeup application and building confidence. Having multiple recurring clients has to be my biggest achievement. It makes me so proud building clientele that trust me enough to come back 4+ times. I think it’s unbelievable how easygoing things can be when you let go of ‘perfection’. The difference between me and others in the industry is I let God have my business completely. I’m not forcing the content or pushing myself to have it all figured out. I trust God’s plan instead of placing a burden on myself with everything going on.
What does success mean to you?
This is tricky. I’ve always had the mindset of success being measured by how much you have & where you are in life. In reality, it’s the total opposite. It’s humbling yourself and walking with God. Living like Jesus did. Denying YOUR own desires and following His will. That’s true success. When you can recognize where you have been falling short, repent, turn from your ways and go back to doing what he needs you to do, THATS success. Getting back up no matter how many times you’re spiritually attacked, no matter how many times you felt like giving up. Standing up tall, resilient and ready to overcome anything thrown your way .. that is what real success is.
