Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadajia Hall
Hi Nadajia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My love affair with art started back in 2012, a tough year when my dear mom earned her angel wings. To cope, I turned to my dad and asked him to teach me his airbrushing wizardry. It didn’t take long before my passion shifted from plus-size fashion to multimedia art. Every year brought a new milestone—from airbrushing school tees for my senior class in 2015 to creating stunning pieces for clients who crave color and want to dive deeper into the art world. Each brushstroke is a new chapter in my story.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Riding the business rollercoaster is a lot like zooming down the Garden State Parkway on a Friday night—there are exhilarating highs and stressful traffic jams. The lows? Classic reminder to slow your roll. We all get pumped to set up our LLCs and business licenses, and then BAM! Forgetting to plan can mean hitting the brakes hard to start over. Sure, do-overs aren’t bad, but avoiding that reroute saves a ton of time and hassle. Take your time, read everything, and save some funds to fuel your biz. Always research and ask loads of questions!
Now, let’s talk about the joyrides of being a multimedia artist. Imagine your weekend plan going off without a hitch, or nailing every task on your to-do list—that’s how creating feels for me. It’s like “Everything is gonna be perfect.” Painting brings me serenity, and if I ever slip up, I just tell myself, “Artist glitch into a different design.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a multimedia artist specializing in airbrush, spray paint, digital design, acrylic paint, oil paint, charcoal—you name it! My passion is abstract art, creating bright, storytelling pieces that you need to hear. My goal? To make you feel more connected with yourself and tap into your creative side.
One of my dearest pieces is “Count Me Out.” This canvas holds a special place in my heart because it’s the first piece I created after my dad passed away on January 9th, 2024. At that time, I wanted to give up everything, but my dad’s voice kept echoing in my head: “Naday, take what you feel and paint it.” So, I did just that. The painting features a dark background with multicolored abstract flowers and a broken mask on top. The mask’s expression shifts from a smile to a lost look. But the white glow overlaying the flowers and mask represents the light at the end of the tunnel—a beacon of hope amidst the darkness.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Listen up, Creative Aliens! Life’s too short not to create, so jump in and do what you love. You don’t need to know how to paint to make something awesome. Cook, write, sing, rap—whatever floats your boat. If it brings you joy and peace, then you’re creating magic.
When I’m in creation mode, I make it an event: music blasting, a nice glass of wine, and my go-to brand of paint. It’s about enjoying the little things. It’s easy to get discouraged, but you’ve got to take control. When you hit a wall, just step away for a bit—watch your favorite show, then come back refreshed. Trust me, it works! Lastly, to keep my dad’s art alive, I have decided to change my artist name from Ns2 Arts to the one and only Ns2RIIAir. I love you Mom and Dad, I know you both are smiling down from Heaven.
