Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

During a girls’ day out, my best friend, cousin, and I attended a painting class, but it wasn’t what we expected. Despite our disappointment, the experience sparked my inspiration. Though I’ve been a artist all my life, there was something about the atmosphere and social setting that captivated me—I was in my element. When my best friend and cousin turned to me and said, “Moneek, you should be doing this!” I wholeheartedly agreed.

Without a concrete plan, my vision was crystal clear. That very night, I returned home, ordered a plethora of art supplies, and ARTrageous Brush & Flow was born!

My journey to where I am today has been shaped by my deep love for art and my desire to share that passion with others. Teaching art has become my comfort zone, where I feel most at home and fulfilled. The connection I forge with people through art is incredibly rewarding, and it drives me to continue on this path with enthusiasm and dedication.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

While my journey has been deeply fulfilling, it hasn’t always been without its challenges. Like any endeavor, I’ve encountered obstacles along the way. One significant hurdle I faced was effectively marketing ARTrageous Brush & Flow. This involved the intricate task of raising awareness for the business, attracting potential customers, and articulating the unique value proposition of our services. Additionally, navigating the logistics of starting a business, from sourcing art supplies to marketing my services, presented its own set of complexities. However, each obstacle served as a valuable learning opportunity, contributing to my personal and professional growth. Through unwavering perseverance and determination, I was able to overcome these hurdles and continue pursuing my dream.

I am an artist and founder of ARTrageous Brush & Flow, where I specialize in teaching art and fostering creative expression. My passion lies in creating vibrant and immersive experiences that inspire individuals to tap into their artistic potential. I am known for my interactive painting classes, which blend instruction with a social atmosphere, creating a space for people to connect and unleash their creativity.

What I am most proud of is the impact my work has had on others. Witnessing the joy and fulfillment that my students experience as they explore their artistic abilities is incredibly rewarding. I take pride in providing a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals feel empowered to express themselves artistically.

By staying positive and viewing adversity as an opportunity for progress, I’ve been able to surmount obstacles and pursue my passion with steadfast commitment.
