Matteo, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?

Today, I am an undefeated professional boxer with an 8-0 record, proudly signed with Mayweather Promotions.

Growing up in Varese, I was always an active kid, full of energy and curiosity. One day, I stumbled upon a boxing match on TV, and I was instantly captivated. The power, skill, and determination of the fighters, especially Mike Tyson, inspired me deeply. From that moment, I knew I wanted to be a boxer.

At the age of 12, I laced up my first pair of boxing gloves and began training. My passion for the sport grew rapidly, and by 15, I was competing in amateur bouts. The path was not easy—balancing work started as a plumber, training, and competitions was tough, but my love for boxing kept me going.

Since I was a child, I dreamed of living in the USA and becoming a professional boxer. At 19, with nothing but a suitcase and a heart full of dreams, I decided to pursue my goal. My first stop was London, where I spent about a year training and adjusting to life away from home.

After my time in London, I made the bold move to the USA. The transition was challenging—new culture, new people, and the pressure to succeed. But each challenge strengthened my resolve. I trained hard, competed in local bouts, and steadily built my reputation in the boxing community.

My dedication caught the attention of scouts, and my sparring performance in the ring spoke for itself. Key mentors and coaches along the way provided invaluable support and guidance, helping me refine my skills and strategy.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

The turning point in my career came when I was signed by Mayweather Promotions. This was a dream come true and a testament to the hard work and sacrifices I made. Being part of such a prestigious team has been an incredible experience, filled with learning and growth. Meeting and interacting with Floyd Mayweather and his team has been inspirational and motivating.

Now, as an undefeated professional boxer with an 8-0 record, I continue to train rigorously and prepare for future matches., I hope to inspire young boxers, just as Tyson inspired me.

Reflecting on my journey from Varese to the USA, I am grateful for every challenge and every triumph. Each step has taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of following one’s dreams.
