Hi Kiran, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Incloosiv Foods began as a mother’s quest to transform her children’s breakfast routine into something both nutritious and delicious. As a mom of three young kids, I wanted to provide them with a healthy start to their day before they headed off to school. For too long, our mornings relied on Eggo waffles and buttery bagels, which left me feeling like I could do better for their growing bodies.
Determined to make a change, I started experimenting in the kitchen. Since my kids loved Eggo waffles, I decided to create waffles they’d enjoy just as much—but packed with fruits, grains, nuts, and seeds. My goal was to make something that wasn’t just healthy but also irresistibly tasty, so my kids would happily eat them without even needing syrup. To my delight, they loved these waffles! Seeing their excitement over a wholesome breakfast was incredibly rewarding.
As time went on, I fell in love with these waffles myself. They became more than just a breakfast solution. I began experimenting with savory versions that could serve as a versatile base for all kinds of meals—from breakfast to lunch, dinner, or even snacks. Every time I took a bite, I thought to myself, “I need to share this with the world. If these waffles can make such a difference for me, there must be so many other moms or people out there who want to eat healthy but don’t have the time or skills to make it happen.”
Years later, when my youngest left for college, I decided it was finally time to turn my passion into a business. What started as a side hustle making waffles for farmers’ markets has grown into something far bigger. Incloosiv Foods has become a customer favorite, celebrated for its delicious, nutritious waffles that make healthy eating easy and enjoyable.
Our story is still unfolding, but it’s rooted in the same mission that started it all: to help people make healthier choices without sacrificing flavor or convenience. If our waffles can make mornings brighter for your family, just as they did for mine, then we’ve done something truly meaningful.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Scaling Incloosiv Foods comes with unique challenges. My biggest obstacle is finding a way to grow the business while staying true to our recipes and mission. I’m committed to keeping our products clean and healthy, but many waffle co-packers lack the equipment or processes we need—like soaking and grinding lentils for our savory waffles. I also want to avoid compromising on ingredients or quality.
Another challenge is building the right team. I don’t have experience in the food industry, and finding someone knowledgeable who aligns with our vision is tough. Scaling a business has so many components I wasn’t fully aware of, and I’m learning as I go.
On top of this, I work full-time and am the sole provider for my household. Balancing my job and scaling the business is incredibly demanding, requiring a lot of time, money, and resources. It’s a constant juggle, but I’m determined to make it work because I believe in what Incloosiv Foods stands for.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I run Incloosiv Foods, a growing food business, while also working full-time as a comptroller. Balancing both roles requires focus, dedication, and a passion for creating something meaningful.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is finding joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. Meditation, yoga, and walking in nature bring me peace and clarity. I love immersing myself in self-help books and podcasts that inspire growth. Spending time with my family, playing with my grandson, and laughing with friends fills my heart. I find happiness in creating healthy and delicious recipes and connecting with people, spreading positivity wherever I go. Sometimes, simply closing my eyes to reflect and feel gratitude is enough to remind me of life’s beauty.
