Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Di Marco
Hi Jade, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
After graduating from college, I moved to New York with a desire to explore new opportunities and immerse myself in the creative industry. Over the years, I gained valuable experience working at several exciting companies, which helped me hone my skills and broaden my perspective. However, the desire to create something of my own kept growing, and I eventually decided to take the leap and start my own business.
When I launched my LLC, I wasn’t entirely sure what direction the business would take, but I knew I wanted to build something meaningful that aligned with my values. I initially explored the “print on demand” model, which seemed like a promising avenue. My girlfriend joined the company, and together we dove into building a business plan and putting it into action. However, as we grew more familiar with the industry, we realized that the quality of products available through this model didn’t meet our standards, and there was a lack of transparency in the production process that conflicted with our principles.
At that point, we knew a pivot was necessary. We took a step back to evaluate what we excelled at, the resources we had, and what we truly wanted to contribute to the world. This reflection led to the birth of a new business plan centered around what we could control—pixel perfection. Instead of relying on external production processes, we shifted our focus to creating digital assets where we could ensure the highest level of quality and detail.
Today, we’ve divided our efforts into two distinct areas: Flightling Collective, which offers high-quality digital assets like motifs, patterns, prints, and branding elements, and Nolling Studio, the custom side of our business, where we bring unique, tailored visions to life through personalized designs and website creation. Offering both premade and custom options provides our clients with the flexibility to choose what best suits their needs. What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to quality and our dedication to making ecologically and ethically responsible choices. We couldn’t be more excited about the direction we’ve taken and are thrilled to collaborate with partners who share our vision as we continue to expand our business and elevate the digital experience.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth path—it’s been unpaved all the way! I know all the tough lessons will come in handy though. Initially, finding the right path and keeping hope alive were some of the hardest challenges. The journey has been filled with perseverance, resilience, and continuous learning.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Art has always been a deep passion of mine, and helping others is central to who I am. This passion and purpose naturally led me to create Flightling Collective, a business that combines my love for art with my commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses. At Flightling Collective, we specialize in providing digital assets designed to elevate any project, brand, or website, all while maintaining a creative flow that fuels innovation.
What truly sets us apart is our unwavering dedication to sustainability. We are committed to making ecologically and ethically responsible choices in everything we do, from the materials we use to the partnerships we form. We proudly collaborate with businesses that share our green initiatives, and we are currently working with several charity organizations that align with our values, ensuring that our growth is both balanced and organic.
My experience with exceptional teams at Louis Vuitton and Marchesa taught me the critical importance of maintaining high standards of detail and quality. This background drives my commitment to producing high-caliber work that I can be proud of. Every decision I make, both personally and professionally, is focused on making a positive impact. Flightling Collective embodies this commitment, blending creativity with a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I love learning new tips from books, Coursera, Google, Youtube, Instagram, Tik Tok and anywhere else I can find more information on what I’m looking into. One source I’ve found to be notably prominent in helping me is the book Atomic Habits. Focusing on small changes and being consistent is a game changer! This book really breaks down the reasoning behind that theory and has resources to help you execute a plan that leads to success in achieving any goal you set your heart and soul to.
