Today we’d like to introduce you to Honami Ogawa
Hi Honami, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started to learn how to do nails when I was 24 years old in Japan. I’d worked in Japan for 3 years, and I moved to New York because Ive loved America especially New York. I was really happy that I got to experience for nails in the biggest city in the world.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The first and second nail salon I used to work didn’t really have good systems to learn how to do nails for clients. I couldn’t have fun as a nail artist. I got to meet a good nail salon for me for the third time and then it made me feel fun to do nails and satisfied. In New York, I had been struggling with language barrier of course. But almost everyone was so nice and the designs I did in nyc were so much fun to do more than japan.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a nail artist. I’m so happy that I serve happiness with nail arts to people. I’m very proud of that I can make people happy through my job.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Client’s smile have been supported me. I can build my confidence because of them.
