Today we’d like to introduce you to Eresseie.
Hi Eresseie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Music has always been a fundamental part of my life, ever since I was a child. In 2012, with some encouragement, I decided to start taking singing lessons to improve and make my dream of forming a band a reality. I started with a pop/lyrical style and later explored genres like jazz and blues. However, my true dream was to sing rock and metal: “distorted” vocals have always fascinated me.
In 2020, I began studying growl, scream, and other distortion techniques. It was a challenging journey, filled with psychological and physical hurdles, but I knew I had to succeed. With determination and consistent practice, I managed to overcome those blocks.
Today, I am the lead singer of Fenrir’s Children, and we are working on our first EP. I also run a social media profile where I share vocal and hurdy-gurdy covers, as well as content about singing and the metal world. Recently, I’ve started training to become a certified vocal coach, and I can’t wait to help others discover their vocal potential! 😊
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been anything but a smooth road, ahaha, and it still isn’t. Being a musician is incredibly challenging: finding someone who truly supports you is difficult, competition is fierce, and standing out is anything but easy. I’ve had to fight with myself to accept that I wouldn’t be happy with a life where music was just a hobby. At the same time, I’ve worked hard to overcome personal and technical obstacles that held me back (and, to some extent, still do).
Every day, I battle with my self-sabotaging tendencies and the very real challenges of trying to break through in such a competitive industry. What I always tell myself is: “If you don’t try, you’ll never succeed.” I’d rather fail than live with the regret of never having tried, no matter how hard it gets.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an Italian metal singer and hurdy-gurdy player, and my work is a mix of projects with my band, collaborations with other artists, and creating content for social media, where I share covers and insights about singing and the metal world.
What sets me apart from others? I think the most honest answer is simply being myself, with all my strengths and flaws. I don’t believe I’m “special” in an absolute sense, but every experience and challenge I’ve faced has helped me shape my own style.
I’m particularly proud of how I’m trying to build my career step by step, staying true to my passion for music and metal. If you’d like to get to know me better, I invite you to follow me on Instagram and YouTube, it’s where I truly share who I am through my music😉
What’s next?
For the future, I have plenty of projects in mind! Besides continuing to post content on social media and collaborating with international artists through platforms like Fiverr, my next big step is to complete my certification to teach singing. It’s a goal I’m deeply passionate about, and I can’t wait to achieve it.
Additionally, I’m not ruling out the possibility of starting a new band: there’s no shortage of ideas, and who knows where they might lead me. My biggest dream is to live entirely off music, sustaining myself through my passion and dedicating my days to what I truly love.
